Yeah, I am into "chatting" on the Internet. This is the start of a whole new section for pages related to chatting.

• HTML Basics will tell you how to do some special things in a chat room.
• Chat Abbreviations will give you a list of the more common abbreviations used in chat rooms.
• Chat Links and pictures.

In the "old days" I was a regular around the Yosemite Campfire and in the Napa Valley chat rooms at GeoCities before they decided to "improve" the rooms on what became known as Black Tuesday, in October of 1997. After that many of us wandered around like the Israelites for 40 years, settling in many various places. Many settled in the Cafe Chat Rooms. I spent a while in The Bar before some of us moved over to The Gossip. Eventually the Gossip was renamed The Hot Tub, and that is still the hangout of many of us.

In early Spring 1999, I was introduced to ICQ, which changed everything. Now I don't go into the chat rooms very often, but I keep in contact with my chat friends through ICQ. You can download ICQ from my Chat Links page.
