This document is a compilation of my thoughts and opinions about the Minolta Maxxum Flashes. This is based on the responses that I wrote to questions from a photographer about the choice and use of flashes and on my own experience with a few flashes over the years.
This page covers some basic information about flashes, and some more specific information about Minolta Flashes that I have dealt with. I have no idea how much or little you know about photography or about the basic operation of flashes, so I have to start out at the very basic stuff.
Minolta Flashes:
Remember that the Minoltas use a proprietary hot shoe design, so flashes from other brands will not work on a Minolta. Again I recommend buying the Minolta brand flashes, and especially suggest getting one of the xi series of flashes that fully communicate with the camera.
